**"This ramen joint is like stepping into a whimsical noodle wonderland! The ambience is a delightful blend of quirky and cute - it's as if the universe conspired to create the perfect ramen oasis. ** **And those self-serve kiosks? Genius! It's like the ramen gods whispered, 'Why wait for your bowl of deliciousness when you can summon it with a touch?' ** **Next time, I'm definitely pulling up a chair and savoring my meal.

This beautiful place is so fun and unique. I love it's concept of a Japanese subway with slogan, "No tipping, just slurping." You can't beat yummy ramen with a view of the bay and zero tipping.

Made for introverted individuals like myself, the quality of the eggs and the spicy soup base were a 10/10, the quietness and being able to eat outside and have a beautiful view made it just another place where I would always come back for more!!

Cute environment, if you've been to Japan. It's themed after the train system in Tokyo and the vending machines. I love that it plays music from the trains and uses the same voice too! This is self service, you order at the kiosk and pick up your order from the window. I got the garlic ramen. The broth was flavorful! I would order it again. Outdoor seating available with waterfront view. And plenty of seating inside too. Environment is casual, perfect way to chat without worrying about hogging table space for too long

SUCH a fun and unique concept in the Bay! If you're having Japan withdrawals like we were, JR Ramen station might just hold you over until the next trip :) We came in about an hour before they closed on a Friday night and the place was pretty empty. You order on a self-serve kiosk, pick a booth to sit in, and wait for your order to be called. There are a couple of vending machines to purchase drinks and I wish there was just a bit more variety, but the lemon drinks we both got were good! The ramen itself was not bad, not the best I've had but it's really the ambiance of the place that makes it. The prices were reasonable, especially since there was no requirement (or even option) to tip! The place was pretty quiet, save for the occasional train announcement over the speakers, and we noticed that most groups came and left under an hour-pretty reminiscent of ramen shops in Japan. So if you're looking for a more chill/ laid-back spot for ramen on those days where you're not really in the mood to talk to people, definitely come check this place out!

Coming here feels like a glimpse of Japan as a super tiny diner. The ambiance embodies that of a train station with signs and tv's stationed to tell you when the next train is. And there's solo seating with borders covered up too so you can eat in private. Pretty cool if you ask me. If you are a solo diner, this is the place to come. But I did come with a few friends, and we were able to get the window seating, but we just had to stand up to eat. But you order your food through a kiosk and wait for your food to be delivered through a pass-through. I got the black garlic ramen and it definitely tasted good but wasn't anything to really rave about. It tastes like a simple, classic ramen. I love the ambiance and structure of the place and if I really felt like coming here personally by myself to grab a bowl here, I definitely would. If you wanna get that peep of Japan, definitely make your trip here!

Great spot for solo diners or introverts. This is an equivalent style to the popular Ichiran chain where you don't have to interact with anyone to get your food. You place your order on the kiosks and once your food is ready, you pick up from the window. The process was super easy and the ramen is actually better than some places in the bay. There's indoor seating available where it's a row of seats facing a wall. If you're with a bigger group, I believe there's tables outside in the back. They also play sounds that mimic Japan's train stations on loop. At first it was cute and goes well with the aesthetic, but it does get kind of annoying if you're in there for too long. Other than that, this is a great spot to feel like you're in Japan without actually being there.

Ramen station transported me back to being in Japan again! I loved the theme of the restaurant and how everything is efficient. Also, no need for any human interaction on ordering/picking up your food! The decor and sounds inside really makes you feel like you're at the train station in Tokyo. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and added corn. I'd say it was a 4/5, great portion and flavor but nothing that extremely wowed me. If you're looking for a new experience to get ramen in the bay area, make sure you check this spot out!

If you hate people and you love ramen, you're going to love this spot! There is absolutely zero human interaction. You order your food at an iPad, pick up your food at a window in the wall when the computer calls your number, then take it to sit at a singles only booth. The place isn't very big inside, but you can also take your food to the outdoor patio and eat with a view of the water. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and it was pretty good. The pork and broth were flavorful. They give a good amount of ingredients as well, so it was pretty filling. My only complaint is that the egg was too well cooked and not the usually runny egg yolk.

Food: 5/5 I got the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and it was perfect. Noodles had a good chew, there was a generous serving of char siu, and the broth was delicious. Service: 5/5 You order and pay at a kiosk at the front of the restaurant. Food comes out promptly! There is a little window that the chefs behind the magic will slide open and your meal appears on a tray as your order number is announced over the speaker. There is no human to human interaction needed, which is the appeal of places like these in Japan where they cater to solo diners just looking for a bite to eat before heading home from work. Ambiance: 4/5 I know this is meant to be a solo dining experience, but a small part of me wishes they had more group tables outside for those eating with friends. There was one table but since my group came for lunch the sun was beating directly down on us. Maybe if they just added an umbrella?
